Ellen Nettleton: Cellist, teacher and coffee enthusiast

Introduced to music at a young age, Ellen picked up her first cello at the age of 10 and never looked back. As she began establishing herself as a musician, Ellen won a spot in the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, working her way up to 4th chair cello during her nine year tenure. From there, Ellen’s musical career continued to evolve from various regional orchestras to solo and duet performances in just about every venue including weddings and yoga studios. Most recently, Ellen enjoys teaching music to budding young musicians at several school districts in the Beavercreek area of Ohio.

While many opportunities have presented themselves over the years, Ellen’s dream is to combine her two favorite things - coffee and music - by creating a musical learning environment where parents can enjoy a good brew while they wait for their children to finish music lessons. She envisions this coffee shop/music studio as a place where both kids and adults can grow their love of music as she did - through encouragement, collaboration and positive feedback.

As Ellen so eloquently stated, “I love that music is universal - it is a common language that you can communicate even if everyone else in the group speaks a different tongue. The language of music can transcend across many cultures and draw people together, particularly in the digital age where everything appears to be perfect. Music is always free of the judgement that can bombard our lives.”

Elevating Ellen’s Brand with The proper images

Ellen’s ongoing diversity and growth in her musical career is what brought her to the studio. Ellen, and so many musicians like her, want to be taken seriously and viewed as so much more than just the instrument they play. While the cello is a focal point of her images, Ellen’s portraits portray a level of sophistication that goes beyond her musical talent. They represent a teacher, future business owner, collaborator, and a deep love of the music that fills her soul.
