
PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING & RESCHEDULING POLICIES
DEPOSIT & FEES
A 50% deposit is required to book your session or project. No session or project will be considered booked and no work will be taken toward your project unless a deposit is received. The balance of your fee is due within the day of your session. All fees are paid through our invoicing system.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
Rescheduling is possible but is dependent on policies from outside vendors and studio rentals.
Rescheduling Fees:
First Reschedule: Deposit fees for studio rentals and vendors are nonrefundable but may be transferrable. Additionally, rescheduling fees will be assessed based on rental agreement terms of use and will be contractually enforced if unpaid.
Second Reschedule: All fees above apply + 10% of your total package
Third Reschedule: All fees above apply + 20% of your total package + applicable contractor fees
Fourth Reschedule: You forfeit your deposit and are required to pay all associated fees. All fees are non-refundable.
WHY DO YOU CHARGE A RESCHEDULING FEE?
When you book my services with a deposit, that time is dedicated completely to you. That makes the day/time unavailable for someone else to book (and pay) for that time.
Also, I pay my team for their time to manage and support the setup required for your project, regardless of whether it comes to full fruition.
Because some of my assistants are self-employed freelancers, they also turn down available work when I book them for your project; in some cases, I am financially beholden to their contracts and cancelation policies, regardless of whether you show up.
What If I’m Late?
If you arrive late, we will reduce the time together at the original project rate. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late or up to half of our session together, I consider it a cancellation, and you forfeit your deposit.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
For outdoor projects, if weather conditions prevent us from performing your photography session, we’ll move indoors. If shooting indoors isn’t consistent with the creative direction of our session, we’ll reschedule at no cost and based on our above-stated policy. In all cases, location and weather-related rescheduling decisions are at the photographer's sole discretion.
RESHOOTS & REFUNDS
Photographs are artistic creations, and interpretation is subjective. My photographic style is reflected on this website and in marketing materials. Because of this, I do not offer reshoots, revisions, or refunds other than for technical failures or malfunctions that prevent me from delivering the agreed-upon number of proficient images in clear focus.
I will refund or reshoot your session in the extremely rare case that I can’t deliver as outlined above. I am not liable for any amount in excess of fees that have been paid. However, I prefer to do business in a way where everyone wins. If we agree to work well together, I won’t have to enforce any policies.
