Rural Decay

Nature surprises us whenever we venture outdoors if we’re willing to look.

There was a sense of eeriness and wonder on this foggy spring day as I walked through this former, dilapidated summer camp. It seemed as if excited Girl Scout campers would return at any moment to a place now uninhabitable.

How quickly nature reclaims its rightful place.

As we become more entangled with our electronic devices, they create an even bigger gap between us and the real world surrounding us.

The world around us fades away as we stay glued to our screens.

And we, too, decay.
